Overview
The brief
An established neighbourhood centre with real results but a dated site. The redesign had to feel modern and reassuring while staying completely honest about which photos and testimonials are genuine.
An independent redesign of a real business, rebuilt from its public content. Not affiliated with or endorsed by the business. Original: Original business site.
Approach
How I built it
Built a warm navy-and-gold system on paper, with Crimson Pro and the highly legible Atkinson Hyperlegible for parents reading on a phone.
Designed navy brand-art panels for the sections where no genuine photo exists, instead of stretching one image or borrowing an unrelated stock shot.
Kept the real proof honest: the single genuine classroom photo anchors the key bands, and the verbatim Facebook and WhatsApp results live on a dedicated Students page.
Shipped a five-page information architecture (Home, Courses, About, Students, Contact) with a WhatsApp-prefilling enquiry form.

Reflection
Looking back
Redesign work is as much about restraint as invention. The hardest and most valuable part was keeping every claim true to the real centre while making it feel new.
